Free fall at the speed of sound
Joe Kittinger: 19.26 mile drop to the speed of sound. He reached a high speed of 617 mph in thin air at -70 °. A small hole was created in his right glove that made him feel great pain in the hand due to the low air pressure. The free fall lasted 4 minutes and 36 seconds.
